 Polars devour 1000 wings!

Victory is Sweet

After trailing for three quarters, the offense took the lead in the innagual Polar wing eating contest and never looked back.  Led by Ed "Clean to the Bone" Welch, Matt "No Meat Left" Tarvin, Nick "No wing too big" Brozak, David "I should of had a salad" Kliethermes, and Eric "Little Guy" Larson, the Offense devoured 490 wings to the defense's 425.  When asked what his thoughts were after the offenisve victory Welch replied, "Wow.... I'm full".

The offense subbed early and often and utilized their bench to keep their starters fresh.  Running backs Shane Ekman and Jeff Rada joined underclassmen linemen Bjorn Nelson, Lukas Adam, and Matt Seiler played a supporting roll in the big victory. Down by 16 wings entering the 4th quarter, the offense out ate the defense by 71 wings in the finale stanza.

The defense was led by Adan "slick fingers" Plata,  Dane "I don't look too good" Peche,  Pui "steady wing" Chow, Emilio "This tastes like chicken" Briseno, and Mike"special forces" Merritt. Supported by substitutes Dustin Woodbeck-Olsen, Brian Butler, Andy Brewster, Mitch Jagodzinski,, and Al Orlando, the defense jumped out to a 116 - 88 first quarter lead.  "We just didn't have our A game" replied Peche after the loss.
